The last couple of weeks have gone by both slowly and quickly and been a crazy mix of the title of this post. My parents and brother visited me for eight days and we had excellent adventures. Around the same time I helped organize and put on a Peace Corps 50th anniversary event, had a 2-day visit and observation from my supervisor, and helped give a workshop for English teachers on the island. This in addition to community classes and high school classes. Everything turned out remarkably well, though this weekend is a welcome vacation from all the activity. The anniversary event was really nice, my supervisor was extremely helpful and supportive, and the workshop was very appreciated by the teachers. My time with family was beyond awesome and I can do no better job of describing it than sending readers to a link of a photo album of our travels. I will spend the next week digging into my routines again and using comments from counterpart teachers, my parents, my supervisor, and students to improve my classes and community involvement. I’ll keep you posted!
